We are very excited to announce that from September 2024 our ‘A Play, A Pint & A Pasty’ season of shows will continue to begin their life at the Barrel House Ballroom in Totnes and then open at the Barbican Theatre in Plymouth.

The Barbican Theatre is an exciting and vibrant theatre, ‘a regional centre for young and emerging creatives… a community catalyst and cultural hub at the heart of the historic Barbican.’

Playwright Laura Horton is programming the theatre at the Barbican and has put new writing at its heart. At a time when many theatres are withdrawing their support for new writing- which is always a risky form – Laura has opened theatre up for new writers and theatre makers for which she should be lauded. We hope our audiences will grow but also the creatives – writers, actors and directors – we work with, as the opportunity to experience and make new theatre is embraced.
