Written by TRUMAN CAPOTE
A very special theatrical reading of Truman Capote’s much-loved short story about friendship, memory and childhood Christmases past. A Christmas Memory is an evocative story, drawing on Capote’s real-life childhood friendship with a much-older relative. Sharing an incongruous yet beautiful bond, the pair embark on Christmas rituals and adventure in 1930s Alabama — but the threat of heartbreak and separation is never far away.
Our staging pays homage to the essence of Capote’s classic storytelling: offering company, connection and escape in a Christmas setting.
